NEWS LETTER MARCH 2026

This newsletter was originally shared in January 2026. We’re posting it here as part of our archive.

This one has a good story behind it.

The Tachi Series is a line of stainless steel fenders.

Two models. The Oodachi, a full fender, and the Kodachi, a shorter compact version.

The names come from traditional Japanese blades.

Oodachi and Kodachi. Long sword and short sword. I thought that was a very cool decision.

Stainless steel means rust-resistant.

It also means you can polish it.

Over time, as it gets scratched and worn, you bring it back.

The idea is that it ages with your bike, not against it.

“Made to Age With You” is the tagline on the sheet. I hope riders feel that way too.

The Oodachi is for maximum coverage.

Rain, mud, road spray. Full protection. The Kodachi is lighter and more minimal.

Cleaner look. Less bulk. Both have their place depending on how you ride and what you care about.

I don’t ride in the rain if I can help it.

Everything is easy to replace these days.

But using something good for a long time, and growing fond of it. That is not a bad way to live.
