NEWS LETTER SEPTEMBER 2025

This newsletter was originally shared in September 2025. We’re posting it here as part of our archive.

This one is special.

The Field Unit is not just a MINOURA product.

It was developed together with EVT — Efficient Velo Tools — a company based in the United States.

Brett, the president of EVT, was involved from the very first prototype.

That kind of collaboration doesn’t happen often. We are proud of this one.

EVT exhibits at MADE, a bicycle event held every August in Portland, Oregon.

MINOURA has joined them every year since 2024.

We were there again this year. If you visited, maybe you saw the Field Unit in person.

So what is the Field Unit?

A professional maintenance stand. Built for outdoor use. Races, events, anywhere outside a shop.

A few things that stood out to me.

The clamp rotates 360 degrees, both vertically and horizontally.

So you can reach any part of the bike from any angle.

The leather pads protect the frame.

And the base has rubber feet that grip pavement, grass, and dirt.

Each leg also has a hole so you can stake it into the ground. I didn’t know that was possible. Now I do.

It holds up to 79lbs, which is 36kg. E-bikes included.

This is not a product for casual riders. But it is a product built with serious care. You can tell.

We plan to be at MADE again next year. Hope to see you there.

Oh — Brett was also spotted using it as a camera stand. We are not sure that is the intended use. But it worked.
