This one is a maintenance stand. The HMS-10Q.
I don’t do bike maintenance.
But I understand why people need a stand. Fixing a bike on the floor is common in Japan.
Not easy though. The HMS-10Q makes it much simpler.
The HMS-10Q holds the bike by the seat post.
Hook it in, and the front wheel rests on the ground. Simple.
The U-shaped hook rotates, so it works with different seat angles.
The urethane cover protects the seat post finish. That is a nice detail.
It also folds. 2.9kg. Easy to store and carry. Max load is 15kg, so most bikes are fine.
I still don’t do maintenance. But if I ever get that new bike I’m looking for, maybe I will need one of these.
